Captive Portal Wireless Access
Does your organization have a waiting area? Do people in the waiting area ask about Internet Access for use with their devices? Would you like to provide a public wireless access field, but you're having security concerns?
Modern Computer Service, Inc. has developed a solution for public wireless access. The solution is highly configurable via the following options:
1. Segmented traffic- devices on your public wireless access field are isolated and CANNOT access storage areas you use to operate your organization. However, both the private network and the public one can share the same Internet connection.
2. Legal Agreement- the captive portal can be configured to present a legal agreement to users when they connect. The legal agreement displays as the first page in their web browser.
3. Registration- the captive portal can be configured to require registration for use of the field, in addition to the legal agreement.
4. Userid/Verification- the captive portal can be configured to require users to create a userid, and verify an e-mail address, in addition to the legal agreement.
5. RADIUS Userid- if user created credentials are not strong enough for your organization, a RADIUS userid(s) can be configured.
Any logical combination of the above options can be customized for your specific field. You can use the contact form to request more information.
